As the production manager for The Lutrinae, Mikko managed the layout, typesetting, and final design for each publication. Mikko works on a short timeline to produce a front page design as well as different spreads for each published paper.
Transition to a digital media
With the outbreak of Covid-19, The Lutrinae found itself in a difficult position. Mainly being a print publication, the student-run newspaper had to find another way to spread its content to followers. As the production manager Mikko was responsible for producing new content for a digital format, mainly focusing on social media carousel posts. He was able to rein-vision existing columns and stories into a format that can easily be shared through social media, allowing for a new way The Lutrinae could keep creating stories regardless of a newspaper.
